Multi-rooftop dealer groups, the first sale worth more than one store
Every one of the 1,432 dealer groups we track is a real multi-rooftop organization - anything with two or fewer rooftops is dropped as a mislabelled single dealer. Read each group's name, rooftop count, franchise footprint, combined inventory and operating states for free, then unlock the full rollup for 5 credits.
What is a multi-rooftop dealer group?
A multi-rooftop dealer group is one company that owns several dealership rooftops and buys for all of them. Hermes Data tracks 1,432 of them across the United States and Canada, and the floor is enforced at load time: a group with two or fewer rooftops is dropped, because in practice that is a single store with a holding-company name rather than a parent organization. This is the page for the vendor whose price only pencils above one rooftop - a fixed-fee platform, a training program, a reinsurance or floorplan product - because the smallest deal you can write already needs a second store to pay for itself. Before you spend anything you can see the real group name, its rooftop count, the franchises carried across the portfolio, combined live inventory, and the states and provinces it operates in. Unlocking the record costs 5 credits and adds the headcounts, the HQ detail, average years in business, the provider mix, and the full roster of member rooftops with join keys back into the Dealers product.
The floor is enforced, not advertised
Anything with two or fewer rooftops is dropped when the dataset loads, so you are never paying to discover that a group is one store wearing a corporate name. That is also why our group count is smaller than the raw source file, and why it is the honest number.
Size the deal before you spend a credit
The rooftop count, the franchise footprint across the portfolio, combined live inventory and the operating states all sit in the free preview next to the real group name. You qualify on the four numbers that decide whether the deal clears your floor, then buy only the groups that do.
The store count is flat - ownership is what moves
Urban Science counted 18,398 franchised rooftops at the end of 2025, essentially flat against 18,374 a year earlier. New rooftops are not where your growth comes from. Growth comes from finding the owners who already hold several, and writing one agreement across the portfolio.
Priced per group, not per portfolio
5 credits unlocks one group rollup, whatever its size, from the same wallet that funds Contacts and Dealers. The $0.99 trial gives you 20 credits, which is four groups, and credits never expire.

Frequently asked questions
What counts as a dealer group in Hermes Data?
A parent company that owns more than one dealership rooftop. Groups with two or fewer rooftops are dropped when the dataset loads, because a one or two store group is almost always a mislabelled single dealer rather than a real parent organization. Everything you can browse - 1,432 groups across the United States and Canada - is a genuine multi-rooftop operator.
What can I see about a group before I pay?
The real group name, the number of member rooftops, the OEM franchises carried across the whole portfolio, the combined live inventory, and the states, provinces and countries the group operates in. All of it is free and searchable, so the qualifying work happens before any credit moves.
Can I set a higher rooftop floor than the default?
Yes. min_member_count sets an inclusive lower bound on rooftops and max_member_count sets the upper bound, so you can cut any band you want - five and up, ten and up, or a narrow window like eight to fifteen. Because member_count is a free column, you can check the result of the filter before you buy anything from it.
How much does a multi-rooftop dealer group record cost?
5 credits per group, from the same shared balance that funds every Hermes Data product. Plans start at $99/month for 150 credits, and a $0.99 trial gets you 20 credits, which is four groups. Groups you already own are skipped rather than charged again, and re-downloads are free.
