The USA car dealer database, one row per rooftop
24,088 U.S. dealership rooftops, franchised and independent, each one a 28-column record: OEM franchises carried, live inventory, employee and decision-maker counts, founded year, social profiles, and the website platform the store runs. Filter it, check the count, then unlock the rooftops you want at 1 credit each.
What is the USA car dealer database?
The USA car dealer database is Hermes Data's firmographic record of the dealership itself, not of the people who work there. It covers 24,088 U.S. rooftops, franchised and independent, part of 27,689 across 62 states and provinces. A record is 28 columns: public-facing and legal business name, street address, a primary number plus main, sales, service and parts lines, the OEM franchises the store carries, its live inventory count, founded year and years in business, employee and decision-maker counts, Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube profiles, and the website provider, website product and martech signals detected on the site. Four of those columns - dealer name, Hermes dealer ID, franchise mix and inventory count - are readable while you filter, so you size the market before you spend anything. Unlocking a rooftop costs 1 credit.
Every U.S. rooftop, franchised and independent
24,088 stores in one normalized table. Urban Science counted 18,398 franchised dealership rooftops at the end of 2025 using its own method; our table also holds the independent lots, and both segments carry the same 28 columns, so a total addressable market built here does not have two different schemas in it.
Count the market before you buy any of it
Filter by state, city, ZIP, OEM franchise, website provider and product, and by ranges on inventory, employee count and years in business. The dealer name, franchise mix and live inventory count stay visible the whole time, so you can see the shape of a segment and its exact size before a single credit moves. One order can carry up to 25,000 rooftops.
Technographics, not just firmographics
Three columns describe the stack a store already runs: website_provider (the platform vendor), website_product (which tier of it) and martech_signals, pipe-delimited, e.g. Facebook Pixel|Google Tag Manager. That is the difference between a list of dealerships and a list of dealerships you have a reason to call.
1 credit a rooftop, from the same wallet
Every product spends the same balance: 1 credit per dealer, 1 per verified contact, 5 per parent dealer group. Plans run $99/month for 150 credits, $249 for 500 and $999 for 5,000, a trial is $0.99 for 20 credits, and unused credits roll over and never expire.

Compliance & sourcing
A Dealers record is business data about a place of business. It carries no names, no personal email addresses and no direct dials - employee count and decision-maker count are counts, so the privacy statutes that attach to personal information do not attach to this file the way they attach to a contact list. What does govern it is the license: the records are yours to use inside your own business for targeting, routing, enrichment and analysis, and may not be resold, relicensed, republished or redistributed as data to anyone else. Frequently asked questions
What is the USA car dealer database?
It is Hermes Data's firmographic and technographic record of U.S. dealership rooftops - the store as data. Coverage is 24,088 franchised and independent U.S. rooftops, each with 28 columns: name and legal entity, address, department phone lines, OEM franchises carried, live inventory count, founded year and years in business, employee and decision-maker counts, social profiles, and the website provider, product and martech signals detected on the store's site. Rooftops unlock at 1 credit each and a trial costs $0.99.
How many U.S. dealership rooftops are covered?
24,088 in the United States, out of 27,689 across the United States and Canada, spanning 62 states and provinces. Both franchised stores and independent lots are included. For scale against a third-party count, Urban Science reported 18,398 franchised rooftops at the end of 2025, which is a franchise-only figure and not directly comparable to a table that also holds independents.
Does a U.S. dealer record include names or email addresses?
No. Dealers is business data with no person-level PII: there are no individual names, no personal or work email addresses and no direct dials anywhere in the product. Employee count and decision-maker count are counts. To reach the named general manager, dealer principal or fixed-ops director at those same rooftops, license the Contacts product, which holds 239,034 verified U.S. dealership decision-makers.
What does a U.S. rooftop record cost?
1 credit, the same rate as a verified contact. Credits come from one shared balance that also buys contacts and dealer groups, plans start at $99/month for 150 credits, and a $0.99 trial gets you 20 credits - enough for 20 rooftops. Credits never expire and there is no annual contract.
